Clean air in the town hall of Land van Cuijk (NL)

Working together for a healthy living environment

The Municipality of Land van Cuijk is actively involved in various initiatives related to air quality and public health within the framework of the national Clean Air Act (Schone Lucht Akkoord). Efforts are focused on raising awareness, and citizens are actively engaged in measuring local air quality. In addition, the added value of policy measures is being assessed and concrete improvement actions are being implemented. In all these areas, ENS Clean Air has been working closely with the municipality for many years.

From shopping center to town hall

In 2014, the parking garage beneath the Maasburg shopping center in Cuijk achieved a world first with active air purification. At the time, the (former) Municipality of Cuijk was the client. More recently, ENS has also installed Aufero air purification systems in the parking garage of the renovated town hall in Boxmeer. The entire installation—from assembly to electrical work to infographics—was carried out in collaboration with partners from within the municipality.

Measurable performance

The installation brings together all key aspects of air quality projects: 1. Inform, 2. Monitor, and 3. Improve:

1. Infographics on the systems explain the necessity and how they contribute to reduced exposure;

2. The performance of the new Aufero systems can be closely monitored by the facility manager via an online dashboard, just like the systems in Cuijk;

3. The Aufero systems remove fine particulate matter from the air in the garage, protecting visitors, while also cleaning the incoming air used to ventilate the space.

This installation is a valuable addition to the long-standing local collaboration between the Municipality of Land van Cuijk and ENS Clean Air, and it is a privilege to contribute to a healthier living environment in our own community.
