A tiny house tiled with residual waste from air quality improvement

Floriade and EuroParcs present sustainable recreation

From April 14 to October 9, 2022, Almere will be the setting for the world horticultural exhibition Floriade Expo 2022. This year's theme is 'Growing Green Cities'. During the Floriade, organizations will present numerous innovative solutions to make our cities greener and more sustainable.https://www.studiochristinejetten.nl/project/rebel-house

Rebel House

Within this theme, EuroParcs introduces the Floriade visitors to their vision of the future of recreation. As a result, they have developed completely sustainable holiday homes. One of these homes is the Rebel House, a unique sustainable tiny house made entirely of biobased and circular construction methods and materials. The design is an idea of Cas van der Zanden, owner of design studio Wittehaai.

A circular solution for air pollution

The ceramic facade finish of the Rebel House is made of circular bronze glaze by Studio Christine Jetten, with particulate matter from ENS Clean Air. The bronze glaze is composed of trapped particulate matter from industrial working environments. Every square meter of ceramics contributes to 0.4 million m3 of purified air.
